This city is situated near the Mazı village which is 10 kilometers to the east of Kaymaklı and which was called Mataza in antiquity.

The underground city of Mazı actually lies on the slopes of a hill to the west of the village, and is therefore not similar to the other underground, cities of the region.

We also find rock graves dating back . to the Roman period here. The facades of these rock graves resemble those of antique temples and one of them draws our attention with its three pillars and monumental portal
